In case you didn’t have a chance to see it the first time, NOVA is reshowing their documentary on running a Marathon. The show follows every day people (”generally sedentary” according to the program description) as they prepare for and run the Boston Marathon.

Marathon Challenge - Original PBS Broadcast Date: October 30, 2007
How do you run 26.2 miles if you have trouble making it around the block? With good coaching, discipline, and lots of group support, as NOVA shows when it follows 13 generally sedentary people through a training regimen designed to prepare them for an ultimate test of stamina and endurance. Created in cooperation with the Boston Athletic Association®, which granted NOVA unprecedented access to the 111th Boston Marathon®, and Tufts University, “Marathon Challenge” takes viewers on a unique adventure inside the human body, tracking the physiological changes that exercise can bring about.
You can watch a preview of the program here.

Thanks, Brad. I set the DVR. It’s on at 2am here in Lexington, KY! Do they really think there are many runners out there that stay up that late? Maybe get up that early

Thank you, I watched it when it originally aired. I still cannot believe that Steve DeOssie did such a good job. Not bad for a former NFL lineman.
