The Brooks research team is looking for runners to test out their new footwear and its effects on biomechanics, performance, and comfort. Their headquarters are in Bothell, WA, but you can apply from anywhere in the US as long as you can receive FedEx packages and can access the internet regularly. Big Sur Half Marathon
Join the seventh Big Sur Half Marathon at Monterey Bay on November 15. Enjoy incredible scenic views as you run through downtown Monterey, Cannery Row, and Monterey Bay. The course also features a Half Marathon walk, and 10-mile walk. Afterwards you can spend the weekend enjoying world-class golf, spa, whale watching and more. Guidelines For Working Out During Pregnancy
A woman’s body goes through many changes during pregnancy. The most obvious are increased girth, posture and center of gravity. The hormonal changes such as increased levels of estrogen and progesterone cause the GI track to slow down so that a woman gains the appropriate amount of weight to sustain a fetus. Relaxin, causes muscle and connective tissue to soften and become more flexible. Proprioception may change as feet swell and posture compensates for the new distribution of weight.
