About:

Mitch Roberts

Main interests are ironman competitions, weekly long cycling trips, and swimming in the lake.. I completed my first ironman in 2007 (Canada) and was immediately hooked. Completed IMC in 2009 and signed up for 2010 as well!

Have lived most of my life in the great northwest. Never was much a runner or swimmer growing up, and only biked as a kid. But played football, basketball, and baseball through most of my child and adulthood. It wasn't until we were in Hawaii (Kona) one year that we got hooked on the sport of triathlon. We were staying on Alii drive and heard about the half ironman that was going on. We got up at 6am, went to the start of the swim, and we were there for the entire day and night. That's when we got really hooked - when we started to see the age-groupers come through after 10pm.. It was so awesome. Years later I finished my first half ironman and full ironman in the same year and stoked for 2009 Ironman Canada. Since my wife and I compete in the various races together it gives us a great chance to workout as a team and spend considerable amount of time together. And now my son has also started to run half marathons with us too
