That's a great quote Bernie! Love it!

Peter, we'll look into the merchandise idea... I agree it would be fun to have some Sweat clothes to Sweat in!

Brad,

Thanks for the tid-bit. Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Throw a dog a bone and you've made a friend for life! ...An old saying I just made up :+)

Thanks for keeping the heat on Bernie! That's what we like you so much.

Actually... we are working really hard on rolling out a new version. I haven't mentioned it because I would prefer to say "Ta da! It's here". As I'm tired of saying "real soon now".

But, hopefully, we will be rolling it out very very soon (really, like hopefully by the end of next week). And when we roll it out, we will see some new improvements to the dashboard, some better organization, drop-down menus for easier navigation, tags support (in addition to categories), hopefully some performance improvements (although more likely that will be a baby step with more work to do)... etc.

Just poking around and noticed that there's nothing in this forum but notices of system maintenance. Surely there's something that's newsworthy regarding upcoming features, plans on where this thing is going commercially, etc. I miss the old (way old) weekly update letter. Shoot, I'd even be happy with a few "real soon now" announcements.

On May 25th, from 8:30pm-11:45pm Pacific time we performed a server upgrade. The system was momentarily in "Under Maintenance" mode. Visitors to your blog would have seen a polite message indicating that the system was undergoing maintenance and would be back online shortly.

Ok, we found a small issue, that related to new posts that were entered at times when the day had already flipped to the next day in GMT. If you entered things just right, then we'd set the time of the post to the local time in GMT... which for those of us in the states meant our post was scheduled for future publication.

Anyway, the problem is fixed now. Thanks for alerting us to the problem.

Check the time-stamp issue? I don't know if the system maintenance effected that. See the other post in problems, thanks.

Attention: We are going to do have a short outage for system maintenance this evening. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause. We expect that outage to begin at approximately 10pm Pacific and hopefully last for less than 3 hours.

We're in the process of upgrading our servers to faster servers and an improved architecture which should allow us to scale our system more easily as we continue to grow.

We were informed by our hosting provider today that they need to have an emergency outage tomorrow from approximately 2:30pm PST till 4:30pm PST. Unfortunately, this outage will cause our systems to be inaccessible from the internet during this time.

We will do our best to keep the outage as short as possible, and are taking steps to make sure that a user friendly "Undergoing Maintenance" message is displayed during the outage.

We apologize for the inconvenience.
