Haven't tried Mole Skin...but...I've been using the Blister Block and that seems to help prevent a blister. And then when I DO get one...I put the Band-Aid brand Blister bandage on it to heal it faster...

The blister is still there but now, instead of it just being a tad sore above the toenail, on the tip, it's now sore on the nailbed. Sigh. I bought Blister Block...but that's a prevention...as are the slip on toe caps I bought at a dance store. I wore a band-aid designed to speed up the recovery of the blister today...in hopes of making it go away so I can then prevent another with the goodies I bought. lol It's a cycle.
I'm just worrying that when I do my Wednesday morning run, that the toe is going to throb. Uggggh.
I'll let you know if any of the aforementioned stuff actually WORKS.

I wish I had some good advice for you... but I guess I've been lucky to only have a few blisters in my relatively short running career. When I have got a blister, I've just hoped for the "get it over with quick" approach, and I've tried to do very little to it in hopes that it will cure itself... as in: pop, then callus over... I've been lucky that when I did get a blister it was never close enough to a race to matter.

I've heard of using baby powder (but I'm not sure how)... I've also heard of using Vaseline on your feet. Again, not sure how this is supposed to work. I think the theory is you put these on before you run, and it prevents blisters... but to me it sounds uncomfortable and not fool-proof.

Maybe other folks will have suggestions.

I know there's an "ouch my toe" post but I was curious...does anyone know any tried and true methods to prevent blisters/toe pain? The second toe on my right foot was sore the other day WHILE running...today, it didn't hurt at all until about mile 7 (out of 8) and once I took my shoes/socks off, noticed a small blister just above the nail and partially under (minimally). Can you tape the toe, etc? I don't want to be getting a blister there during a marathon...I've heard that toe caps can be more pain than they are worth (sliding off mid-run, etc).
HELP!!
