Likely this is just a weird thing I'm not getting but I seem to have a phantom post (that I'm not creating) that I'm unable to delete. I go into manage, delete it - the cool fade happens, I go back to my blog and it's still there!

Hmmm.... can you tell me more about this "ghost post" (did you see what I did there... took your phantom post and made it rhyme... ooooh he is clever)...
Tell me the URL/post ID... and I'll do some magic and look into what's up.

I've used my magic powers of rock and roll to kill your ghost post. I am not sure why it happened. If anyone else sees a similar behavior please let us know.
As for where the post came from, I suspect that you had started a new post, and possibly closed the window by clicking publish or something. I don't know, I can imagine it happening. Why it wouldn't let you delete it, I don't know.
We'll keep an eye out for this bug as it's clearly annoying.

Note: If this happens to anyone else, you might try deleting the post from the "Edit Post Page". To do so, go to Manage -> Posts, then from the list of posts, instead of clicking "Delete" (which is what was causing trouble), click "Edit", then from that page, scroll down to just below the "Save" button and above the preview window; where you will see a "Delete This Post" button. Click that, and see if that deletes the post.
If you do see this behavior, please let us know about it.

We found the issue that was causing this problem. And we have fixed it now. You should now be able to delete to your hearts content... no need for special powers of rock and roll!
