  1. I am a professional fighter in the MMA. I understand that Nick Diaz another fighter in the MMA does triathlons to train for his cardio and strength needs in his fights. I have now jumped on the band wagon and I need help. I need help training for my first triathlon. I want to place in my first triathlon and dont really know what regiman to follow. Is there anyone that could help me to understand the training cycle for a triathlon. Thank you.

  2. Damon,

I wrote a more detailed post on your blog... but... Check out our library section for training plans on triathlons. Also check out "The Triathletes Training Bible" by Joe Friel. That's pretty much considered the source for triathlon training tips!

    Good luck!

  3. Brad has some good sources and advice here.... but I remember a large discussion about Nick Diaz when he did his half Ironman distance race. Not only because he was an MMA fighter, but I remember a bunch of discussing how well he did (very well).

And about how he mentioned he did the race after he had smoked some weed.... that was a large part of the discussion.

I don't remember all the details, but it was entertaining.

    Good Luck.
