Cycle computer

(4 posts)

  1. I have been thinking of getting a cycle computer but am unsure of what kind. I would like to get a good one that will last but I don't need a top of the line Computer. Just something with time, avg speed, max speed, cadence, and maybe heart rate. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Dustin.

  2. Look into the Cateye line. They have everything from the very basic to the more-features-then-you-can-need versions.

I would recommend getting your local bike shop to install it.

  3. yeah, set your budget at $20-40. they're pretty much all the same . . . but HR and cadence-sensing will cost you a LOT extra.

you seem to have a lot of questions; dig your enthusiasm, but you probly just need a month to get into this whole thing. i recommend you wait before making purchases of non-essentials - take time to figure out what you want, otherwise you're going to waste a lot of money getting stuff you don't really need (i speak from experience).
