I am just getting a terrible head cold - do I keep working out? Any tips on how to get over it as fast as possible, besides rest? Thanks for the input.

Oregano oil gel capsules! They are great for everything! Just go to your local health food store. No, oregano from your pantry won't work. You can buy the extract, but it burns and is too strong. Just follow the directions on the bottle to start out. If it doesn't seem to help up your intake to 3 capsules every 4hours.
Rest would definitely help! I suggest you rest just for two days with this stuff and see how you feel!
Also, TheraFlu makes this fantastic cough syrup for daytime and nighttime!! I'm sure you can take these with the oregano oil since it's not prescription... I do it and don;t have any problems!
Between these two things you should be good to go! Keep me posted and let me know if it worked! I'm curious to know how it works for others!Posted 3 months ago # -
Aleve-D cold and sinus work great, you have to get from the pharmacist but you want have any problems getting through you work outs, you might even do them in record time. it is what thy make crystal meth out of but it is in a smaller dose. or if you don’t like that idea get your body temp up in a hot bath or heating pad with lots of blankets and sweat it out.

I actually use Oregaresp (formally Oregacyn)...you can get it at the Vitamin Shoppe and it's in capsule form. Just take two in the AM, two in the PM. I SWEAR by the stuff...usually i'm a sponge for illness but haven't had a cold in a few years.
You can't really OD on it either...it's an herb lol.

The rule of that I have heard regarding whether to workout when sick is this...
...if sick above the neck (including a scratchy throat), it is okay to workout, but take it easy, especially if you have a hard workout planned.
...if sick below the neck, then don't workout. (fitness guru Joe Friel says you are seriously endangering health and potentially your life by exercising when you have a virus that causes symptoms below the neck)
