  1. I can't believe that Winter is just around the corner. Oh, I know, Fall is in there too...but Winter is coming and with Winter comes things like THE JINGLE BELL RUN and lots of other "fun runs."

So I will be starting a new 5k group on October 20. We'll be meeting in Marysville at Jennings Park on Monday nights at 5:00 p.m. The program includes:
*5k Training Plan with coaching for runners, walkers, and walkers who want to transition to a run.
    *Camaraderie on the runs
    *Seminars
    *Discounts from local running store
    *An optional second mid-week run
    *Fun
*An exciting way to challenge yourself!

So if this is your first, or your first in awhile 5k and you'd LOVE to run in Seattle with a bunch of other nuts (and Santa) on December 14 to raise money for the Arthritis Foundation, JOIN US!

Cost is $65 for the 8 week class. If you're interested, please drop me an email at tory@journey-fitness.com or visit my website at http://www.journey-fitness.com. I'm just finishing up the current group who will run the Aflac Irongirl on September 7. If you sign up now and want to join us for our last few runs, you're more than welcome at no additional cost!

Additionally, if I run more than one 5k class concurrently, students from each class are welcome to drop in on the other at no cost.

I will also be doing North-End training for the FIRST EVER Seattle Rock and Roll Marathon! I'm already registered and can't WAIT!

  2. I would love to meet up and talk to you about this. The christmas run sounds like a good goal for me too.

  3. This great running group has learned so much in just 2 weeks. Over 13 people are meeting for this training and it has been great to start to get to know some new and experienced runners. I can't wait for this week... except for the almost certain rain...

    thanks Tory~!
