  1. I injured my ankle in a rock climbing accident a few years ago. Except for the long and awful recovery at the time, it has generally treated me okay, but I've been having some next day pain after runs lately, so I'm interested in seeing a physical therapist. I would like someone who works with athletes, potentially elite athletes even. Does anyone have any suggestions for a PT in the Seattle area. Kirkland/Bothell/Redmond area would be ideal, but Seattle side of lake would probably work too.

I'm also interested in a general medical dr that has an athlete clientel. This is less urgent then the PT.

    Thanks!

  2. I highly recommend Bruk Ballenger at Real Rehab Physical Therapy. Bruk and the team are AWESOME. Bruk is an Ironman triathlete his partner is a cyclist and mountain climber, they are top notch.

Bruk has reprogrammed my running, when other PT's just made me worse, he has given me the confidence to run further and faster without fear of injury. He took the time to get me there through real science and a willingness to understand my drive and why I wanted to be able to continue to perform the best I can with the body I have.

    They really understand athletes!

  3. Also note: Real Rehab can do metabolic and threshold testing for running or cycling! Excellent information for long distance athletes!

  4. When I initially injured my lower back, I was sent to physical therapy to help improve my mobility. It actually makes a difference because it increases your bodies flexibility. After a few months my Doctor informed me that my bulging disk had shifting and wasn't pressing on my nerve anymore.

  5. How has your rehab been going after your initial post? It usually take a long time to get back to normal after an injury like this. It has been 3 years since I injured my lower back, and it still isn't back to normal yet.
