Hello everyone
I've been having a problem with blisters BETWEEN my toes when I run - usually between my big toe and the one next to it. Any ideas on what I can do about it?
Thanks

Hey Jenny,
I've never specifically heard of that. But I have a couple questions... Is it possible these blisters are from your toe nails? I'm sure your toes are much more dainty than mine, but I'll admit my big toe nail can sometimes rub on the side of my other toe, and I can imagine it creating a blister.
Another tip I've heard is to make sure you have good socks. I know that I use running or cycling socks. If I use normal "sports" socks, my feet are always uncomfortable and can get blisters.
Also, I know there are companies that make special socks with toes in them, much like a glove has room for your fingers. I've never used these socks, but I know several people who SWEAR that they are the best!
Finally, how do you shoes fit? Any chance you need to go back to your local favorite shoe store, complain about your blisters and see if they can get you fit with better shoes?
Good luck!

I too get blisters between my toes! So I feel your pain! What seems to have helped a little though is definitely wearing specific running socks -- I like the 2-ply Wright Socks that are made for running. I also lube up my feet (esp around my toes) before long runs with Un-Petroleum Jelly -- feels funny at first but works wonders! I haven't found it to be a fit problem as I've gone through about 8 different pairs of runners in the last 2 years and on long runs I always blister between my first few toes and on the outside of my little toe. I keep my nails as short as possible at all times too.
If you can stand it, eventually it'll callous over and not be quite as bad! Makes for some ugly feet though!
I tried using Body Glide between my toes on my last few runs and it seems to be helping. Next on my list is new socks.
Thanks for your suggestions!
Jen
Just a follow up - I'm in love with toe socks! Bought a couple of pairs of Injinji toe socks and bye-bye blister problem. Awesome!
Jenny, Glad you found a solution that works for you. I've been wearing my Injinji's for trail running, and they really do help!
