  1. I am looking at a marathon Dec. 6 2009. I think I'm going to use Jeff Galloway's training program. 30 weeks is a long time. I just realized I need to start yesterday. What I'm wondering is... I have some races planned over the summer. How do I work those into my training?

  2. When I have races I do them and if I have extra mileage I do it later. Once I had a 5K on a Sunday and 10 miles scheduled the day before. I did the 5K eventhough it was to be a crosstrain day. I ran but not crazy. No need to get injured. This past week I was supposed to run 12 on Saturday, my long day. I had a 5K scheduled and had planned to run that race and then do the 9 more at home. I didn't related to my mother in law's death however. I say just work them in. And yes I did 12.12 miles Galloway 4:1.

  3. Thanks that sounds like a good plan. I really want to do some more 5ks this year, only because I NEVER push myself hard enough, while training alone.
