  1. I use a Garmin Forerunner 305 and it would be great to be able to directly import activities from my device.

  2. Scott, I'd love to see a function where we could import logs from our training devices directly to the site. I'm using a Suunto T6 and would love to import my logs as well. I think the Konaomoxt team is looking to work on these features but one thing at a time :-)

I wonder if somebody in the community can hack up a widget and get over to the team? I'm not the guy for sure but somebody has got to be able to do that!

  3. Device import is on our list. We're trying to figure out which ones to attack first. Garmin's are likely to be high on the list since we have a couple people on the team that use them.

  4. For sure device import is a must for me to replace my TrainingPeaks log. For me Polar would be the number one priority. That would be followed by PowerTap and then Garmin or .GPX (.GPX being more universal).

My other question is what about retrieving data? To be honest I'm leary of wonderful idea will end up. There must be some commercial plan and I certainly am not opposed to paying a subscription fee (like I do for TrainingPeaks) but I also want to know I can download my content at any time if I decide to leave or, dare I say it, this site should disappear.

  5. Bernie,

You can export your blog at any time by going to Manage>Export. This will export your blog posts. We have not yet added export of training data, but we absolutley will do so at some point in the near future.

We believe the data should be free to live where ever it wants to, but we hope you want it to live here. :)

As for our plans to commercialize this product. We absolutely plan to; and one product we will probably offer is a more advanced consumer product that may require a subscription fee (much like Training Peaks).
