This year just isn’t going well. Was training for a tri at the start of the year and developed some foot pain. Continued to train without the running part. Then in Feb contracted some evil virus the continued into March and ended up with pneumonia-first time I had been sick in 3 years. I started out walking last week and the foot pain came back with a vengence. Went the sports med doc yesterday and found that I have a severe case of plantar fascitis. At 64 I am told it will not heal quickly. I was give some exercises and told to ice-which I am doing as I type this. I guess I’ll start cycling and swimming next week. Who knows when running will be an option again. Ugh!!!
