  1. i have been running frequently since the start of last year until now. last week, i ran a 5km followed by 2 sets of large strides sprinting. the next day, i went for another run but suddenly out of no where i felt an intense pain in my knee area. im quite uncertain whether the problem lies in the kneecap or hamstring tendon. now, whenever i climb up or down stairs,i will feel the pain when my knee bends. even as i walk or run, my knees would be straight and locked to minimise the pain.

has anyone encountered this type of pain? can anyone tell me what kind of pain is this, causes, solutions, duration of recovery? i couldnt find much on the internet as i dun even know what exactly is my pain
