Training Plans: 5K (3 Plans)

5K has become one of the most popular distance for runners. 5 kilometers is 3.1 miles, a great distance for a beginner’s first race. It’s also a great distance for seasoned runners to test themselves. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced runner, Sweat365 has a training schedule for you.

  • Beginning   This program is designed to train the beginner for their first 5K road race. 
  • Intermediate  As an intermediate runner you have been runnning and racing for a few years and now your goal is to improve your time.
  • Advanced  As an advanced runner you have been running and racing for several years and would like to set a new personal best.  You are willing to work hard to acheive your goal.

Beginning Runner

This plan is for novice runners. At this stage, you just run. You are increasing your mileage a bit more each week. The goal is to keep the effort easy, let your body adapt. Keep Reading
